Questions

Do I need to install anything on my phone?

No. Scan the QR code and Pointyo opens in your browser, Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android.

Why does Windows warn me about the .exe installer?

From the Microsoft Store, Pointyo is signed by Microsoft, so you won't see any warning. The direct installer (.exe) isn't signed by us yet, so Windows warns you. Click “More info” and “Run anyway”. If you already have Pointyo from the Store, you don't need the installer.

What goes over the internet?

Only finger movements and button presses between your phone and your computer. Nothing is stored, and only one phone is connected at a time.

Does it work on a Mac?

Windows 10 and 11 for now. A macOS version is planned.

Can several people control the presentation at once?

Yes, up to five. Turn on “Viac prezentujúcich” (multiple presenters) in the Pointyo window and everyone scans the same QR code. Each phone gets its own laser and ink colour, and the two-finger undo only removes your own stroke.
